Merlin
Where each worldview places it
The Druid magician-priest[1]. In Clymer's legend he is the son of an incubus and chief advisor to Pendragon, Uther and Arthur. He betrayed his oath of secrecy to Vivian and was imprisoned in a tower[2]. His prophecy of 13 stars in a double triangle is read as foretelling America and the Great Seal[3].
