The Mystery Babylon series on his shortwave program The Hour of the Time, 1992–1994.
Contradictions & Evolution
- Who ultimately rules? Cooper most often places a council of wise men / elders behind a puppet leader at the top[1]. He also accepts Maxwell's "always nine" Hidden Masters, "existence uncertain"[2], and elsewhere rule by bloodlines, Rome's families and the House of David[3]. In later broadcasts the Vatican becomes a rival faction that "wants the Pope to rule alone"[4], whereas in earlier ones the papacy has already been captured by "one of their own"[5]. Tension also remains between the Anglo-Aryan faction ruling "through a council of elders" and the mystery schools generally[6].
- Maitreya vs. Rome. Epperson's material[7] and the New Age sources point to Maitreya as world leader. Cooper himself predicts the leader "will be seated upon the throne of Rome. Mark my words"[8].
- The Founding Fathers. They are "all Freemasons" whose intent is the NWO on the Great Seal, and some were Illuminati[9]. They are also creators of the only government that "ever set man free"[10], whose "great experiment" the people failed: "We have failed, not them"[11]. In a later broadcast they were Illuminati "working toward the great work of one world government, but not under Anglo-Aryan rule"[6]. Another broadcast has America as the experiment that "could have been the New World Order, sheeple" had people proven worthy[12].
- The U.S. government: enemy or victim? "It's not our government, it's not the Constitution ... it's the secret societies"[13]. Our constitutional government "had absolutely nothing to do with the Kennedy assassination"[14]. Yet the government is waging "a shooting war against the American people"[15], imports heroin (Maxwell)[2], and Masons permeate it at every level[11].
- Who founded the Illuminati? Weishaupt founded it on 1 May 1776[16], but "did not establish the Illuminati, nor did the Illuminati die with Adam Weishop"[17]. Its parents are variously the Roshaniya[18], the Alumbrados/Jesuits[19], the Rose Cross Order[20], and a core refounded by Pike and Mazzini[2].
- What Freemasonry descends from. Its roots are given as the Knights Templar[21], the Babel builders[22], Gnosticism[23], Mithraism[24] and the Hyksos Brotherhoods (Valentine)[25]. Cooper treats these as one continuous stream rather than as rival accounts.
- Satan and Lucifer. Cooper is unsure whether they are the same being[26]. Elsewhere he uses them interchangeably, "Lucifer, who is actually Satan"[27], and his sources identify "the gods who walked with men" as Satan[14].
- Jews. He insists "it is not the Jews"[28], yet says Freemasonry "orchestrated" Israel and Zionism, which British Israelis rather than Jews run[29]. He also cites Kabbalah as "the Jewish version of the mystery schools"[30] and the Jews' corrupted worship of Moloch[31].
- Communism. Early hours treat communism and international socialism as the mystery schools' creation and "one and the same" as them[32]. Later, communism is "just a word ... another boogaboo enemy"[33], and McCarthy "misnamed" the true enemy, "illuminism"[33].
- Aliens. Cooper insists there is no alien threat, only a staged one, "the only people you have to fear are humans"[34]. But in a later broadcast he says the UFO phenomenon cannot be separated from the NWO and the mysteries, and that "all the old gods are returning"[35].
- Dates and details. The Templar abolition is given as both 1312 and 1313, and de Molay's burning as 1313 and 1314[36]. Truman is placed at Yalta[11], though the register records this as Cooper's statement. The York Rite has nine degrees[37] and then "13 degrees" as a correction[17]. The Age of Aquarius begins "after 2010"[38] or on 23 August 1953 per Valentine[25]. Cooper withholds the "exact dawning date"[39].
- Hall as source. Cooper uses Hall, "a priest of the order", as an insider witness to the plan[40], and urges listeners to read everything Hall wrote[30]. He also disputes Hall's claims, such as the eye being the Great Architect's, which he calls "erroneous"[41], and Peru as a "successful utopia"[42].
- Open questions Cooper leaves hanging: the exact identity of the Hidden Masters[2]; the possible link between the 1916 "Lars Hansen" and the Lars Hansen reared in the Stelle Group[20]; the unnamed "famous talk show host"[43]; whether the Aid & Abet newsletter is an organ to identify constitutionalist police, which he says "we cannot prove"[44]; and the promised later hours on the Druids and ancient Britain[31].
