Author's claims · 11
  1. 01It engineered the French Revolution and many European "people's" revolutions[6].
  2. 02It was founded on May Day, "beloved of Satanists" and shown as 1776 on the Great Seal[7].
  3. 03The Prussian Saxe-Coburg-Gotha supported Weishaupt[8].
  4. 04The Jesuit Alumbrados ('illuminated') lead to Weishaupt[9].
  5. 05In And the Truth it is "another branch of the Brotherhood", organised in concentric circles directed by a hidden core to infiltrate all seats of power in Europe, and "themselves, controlled by the Global Elite"; Icke also calls it "controlled by the House of Rothschild"[2].
  6. 06It has 13 degrees, shown as the 13 steps of the pyramid on the Great Seal of the United States; it was founded the same year as the Declaration of Independence[10].
  7. 07It created the League of the Just (the Bund) that commissioned Marx, and was the source of Marx's class war; May Day marks its founding date[11].
  8. 08Icke, like Rabbi Marvin S. Antelman, believes the Protocols originated with it; he renames them the "Illuminati Protocols"[3].
  9. 09It was born in Germany, like communism and fascism[12].
  10. 10Its French Revolution network included the Jacobins and the Frankists, named after Jakob Frank[3]; The Biggest Secret calls Frank the leader of a Satanic branch called Sabbateanism[13].
  11. 11In the later books it was formed in 1776 (first under another name) out of the 1773 alliance of Jacob Frank, Mayer Amschel Rothschild and the Jesuit-educated Adam Weishaupt; it manipulated the French Revolution through the Jacobins; its world-takeover documents were found in 1785 on the courier Lanz, killed by lightning[14].
