Where each worldview places it
A target of the same hidden force that killed the Kennedys. His "campaign for black rights and against the Vietnam War cost him his life on April 4th 1968"[1]. The later book adds that he was "very different" from his public image[2].

- 01"Dr King was also a target of William Sullivan's Cointelpro operation"; the FBI code-named him Zorro, and Atlanta FBI staff cheered his shooting, as the House Select Committee on Assassinations heard[3].
- 02His security was deliberately withdrawn[4].
- 03"James Earl Ray could not have done it"; he was the patsy, and "a central character in the King assassination appears to have been Jack Youngblood"[5].
- 04The Jonestown massacre undermined the House Select Committee on Assassinations' reinvestigation of the King and Kennedy killings by discrediting Ray's attorney, Mark Lane[6].
- 05The model for non-violent change and non-cooperation; he warned against "the tranquilising drug of gradualism" and said that acquiescing to tyranny is "the death of the spirit"; he was assassinated in 1968 the year after the CIA's "conspiracy theory" dispatch[7].
