Media
Where each worldview places it
A pyramid of bankers, industrialists and advertisers over media barons, editors and journalists, essential "to control humanity through the mind and emotions"[1]. And the Truth agrees that the bankers own it and that "two things select the president: money and the media. The Elite controls both"[2]. It is "peopled by a combination of the few who know what is going on and the many who are nothing more than manipulators' mouthpieces"[3], a "One Media State"[4]. Icke adds that it is also a reflection of the collective mind: "tabloid minds create tabloid media"[4]. The later books use the term "mainstream media", profiled separately in this tier; Everything You Need to Know also calls the media an "Archontic firewall"[5].

- 01Truth-telling outlets are starved of advertising or taken over[1].
- 02It keeps people ignorant of the Fed and IRS, and journalists "report the movie"[8].
- 03It suddenly takes extraterrestrials seriously while ignoring crop circles[9].
- 04The Rothschilds owned the news agencies Wolff, Havas and Reuters[10]; because every outlet prints "the same information from the same source", one source becomes universal "truth", as when US opinion was whipped up for war in 1914–17[11].
- 05Like religion, it uses fear and guilt for manipulation and control[12]; its "minute-by-minute messages" build a prison of dogma[13].
- 06Controlled media advance the Elite's chosen candidate and undermine the others[14].
- 07It uses symbols, colours and sounds to hypnotise the public as the Nazis did; through repeated themes it programs the subconscious and so creates reality, distracting people with sport and soaps as the Illuminati Protocols (Protocol 13) prescribed[15].
- 08It promotes 'free trade', assassinated Mossadegh's character, repeated the official Oklahoma City story without question and dismisses talk of a New World Order as paranoid[16].
- 09"None of this mind manipulation could happen without the media": it is the vehicle of the mental coup d'etat, reporting engineered events through official sources[4].
