The sun god of the Egyptian mysteries. Cooper, following Hall-type esoteric readings of Plutarch, says Osiris is also "the doctrine" itself and "the composite order of initiates" through which it is perpetuated[1]. "Through his priests, Osiris ... ruled the entire world"[2].

- He is a later form of Nimrod[4]. Thoth helped bring him into being[2]. He became Adonai, Dionysus and Bacchus in Phoenicia, Greece and Sicily[5], and was worshipped as Mithra, Brahma, Baal/Adonis, Apollo, Odin and Hu[4]. He survives as the Masonic third degree and as Hiram Abif[6], and in the Roman church as the god worshipped on Sunday, whose triple crown the papal tiara copies[7].
