The first object of worship and the master symbol. It was first the emblem of the unseen Creator, then of the intellect, and so of Lucifer[1]. Cooper says "every single time we investigate one of these it leads directly to the sun"[2].

Lineage
Primitive fear of darkness produced astrotheology, the first religion[5]. That became Egyptian dogma under the Pharaohs, then Mithraism, then Christianity's December 25 and Sunday[6]. It survives in Gnosticism, Hermeticism, Freemasonry and "the temples of all the secret societies"[7], and in modern churches' holy days and layout[8].
